This was originally an attempt to write a narrative on the topic of programmers and metaphor. It still includes that, but it also includes a narrative about metaphor that leaves out programmers.
This page needs more work before it's ready for outside review.
The first narrative is Programmers Don't Much Use Metaphor. It's not so much that I think the argument about programmers is *wrong* so much as that it provokes "so what?" At least, so I think.
The second is A Story of Metaphor. This strips out the programming-specific content. So it represents an experiment of creating two "trails" through a mass of linked content.
